Teaming up with Herb from Palm Beach Dive, on a spectacular day late in Autumn, ROV Innovations and Ecosure set out to survey the 4 reef regions off Palm Beach.
Unfortunately the conditions beneath the glassy ocean were a little less perfect. The visibility was often only 1-2m, and there was a nasty 2m surge throughout the survey. Nevertheless, the combination of the excellent stability of the Seamor 300F and the awesome clarity of the sony 1080p high definition ROV Camera enabled the survey to be completed within budget and on time.
Being able to pull the high def footage of the ROVs inspection of the coral reef directly into Final Cut Pro, enabled us to put together a quick sample of the inspection for Gold Coast City Council for Sara to present.
Sara sent us this great recommendation after the project -
"We hired Michael and his ROV for a project with a very high quality output expected from a client with a tight budget. (Biodiversity survey on a reef system in South East Queensland).
Michael instantly became part of the project team and was there from start up meeting, right through until the finished product, always ready to help and adjust to fit with changing weather conditions and client requests.
Not only was Michael able to help us achieve what we required, finding answers to my abstract requests, he went above and beyond to ensure a quality product was able to be presented to our client on time and well within budget.
The feedback on this project to the team was extremely complimentary and will ensure future work with this client. I know having Michael and the ROV as part of our team strengthens the product we can offer our clients and makes us a much more sought after team of scientists"
