ROV Innovations expands its capabilities with UAVsROV Innovations has expanded their capabilities with 3 new Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). The largest (the S800, seen left) has the ability for fully autonomous flight within a 10km radius, effectively allowing us to survey areas of up to 20km at a time. Our UAVs are fitted with high definition cameras to allow us to capture video real time for our clients which include researchers, engineers, and environmental consultancies. Our aerial drones can also be equipped with speciality cameras such as Infra Red, which enables us to quickly, safely and efficiently complete population surveys of specific animals in any given area. All of our UAV pilots are fully licensed with CASA (Civil Aviation Safety Authority - a department within the Australian Government), and all operations are approved as per government regulations before each project. We also have available a specialised UAV (Cinestar 8 Octocopter) equipped with specialised cinematography cameras such as a RED EPIC, Blackmagic Cinema Camera, Nikon D600 & D800, and Canon 5D Mk III. All of our UAVs are extremely lightweight and compact, and can be easily and efficiently transported to any location both within Australia and Internationally. As per Australian federal legislation, 2 flight staff are required to operate each UAV.
