Video footage from previous underwater inspections
Snapper Rocks Environmental Survey
This video is a short extract form an underwater survey conducted at Snapper Rocks, on the border between New South Wales and Queensland, Australia. Environmental conditions on the day were quite poor, with heavy clouds, rain squalls, 1.5m swell and a 2m surge on the reef areas. Footage collected with a Seamor High Definition ROV, originally recorded in 1080p25
Flooded Cave Inspection
This video is an inspection we carried out to determine if the roof of this flooded tunnel was secure or if there was evidence of potential fractures or weaknesses that could cause collapsing
This is a short video of an inspection off Lihir Island, Papua New Guinea. Lihir is a volcanic island with a lot of geothermal activity. Initially the inspection was to survey an existing pipeline at 125m depth, however when we arrived at the sea floor (160m) we witnessed geothermal plumes of volcanic ash rising at least 15m from the ocean bottom.
This survey was recorded in Standard definition, with the overhead displays visible allowing the client to see the data collected alongside the vision.
Marine Biosecurity Inspection
Short extract from the Biosecurity inspection of the Transocean Offshore Drilling Rig "Jack Bates" with Biofouling solutions. This inspection was undertaken to ensure that there were no invasive species attached to the Jack Bates hull when it entered Australian Waters in January 2012
Seamor HD ROV Pool Demo
This is a small demo of the High Definition Camera in the Seamor 300F ROV. This was recorded in 1080i50 format but was downgraded to 720p to reduce file size. The highlights of this video are the clarity and quality of the footage obtained by the Seamor ROV, as well as demonstrating its zoom capabilities.
Freshwater Dam Inspection
This video is an abridged freshwater dam inspection carried out in central Queensland, Australia. The original video was shot with a High Definition Seamor ROV in 1080p25 format. Being in a freshwater dam, the water was extremely turbid with visibility only approx 20cm. The Secuquest Vision Clear Enhancement hardware was used to increase underwater visibility, and restore natural colouration to the underwater assets.
Reef Environmental Survey
This footage was from a species survey of a reef off the Gold Coast in Australia. The aim of the survey was to get an indication of the different species that are present. Visibility during the survey ranged from 1-2 meters with a strong 2-3 metre surge. The footage was captured in 1080i50 format, edited and saved in 720p.
Water Tank Inspection
This is an underwater inspection of a deluge tank in Brisbane, Australia. We used a 300F Seamor ROV with high definition 1080p sony camera upgrade and 2 additional external LED lights for filming. The Seamors advanced stability and functionality are superior in filming these types of inspections.
Fraser Island Documentary
Excerpt from a documentary filmed by NHK Japan and CP International on Australia's Fraser Island. Most of the footage was recorded on the northern tip of the island called "Breaksea Spit". The Reef seen in this video was recorded at a depth of approximately 210m. Sea conditions during the ROV dive were average, with 2-3m swell and approx. 20 knot winds.
Fiordland's of New Zealand
This video is about exploring the underwater Fiordland's of New Zealand with a Seamor 600m depth rated High Definition ROV commissioned by Rob Swale from Sanctuary of the Seas.
