"ROV Innovations and the Water Industry Operators Association"

This year, ROV Innovations became a corporate member of the Water Industry Operators Association of Australia (WIOA). As part of this, we decided to help promote the Gold Coast WIOA Trade show by exhibiting our ROVs as well as our inspection and survey capabilities to the water industry professionals.

The event was a huge success with over 800 visitors turning up to listen to the variety of guest lectures, have lunch and dinner with fellow water industry professionals, and view the latest in technology from over 110 exhibitors.

As a first time exhibitor at the WIOA event, everyone was extremely friendly and helpful, and willing to go out of their way to lend a hand. The show spanned 2 days (June 5th and 6th), and it was the perfect opportunity to catch up with past and existing clients, as well as introduce ourselves and show our capabilities to new councils and companies. 

Everyone that stopped by for a chat was amazed at the clarity of video from our 1080p High Definition ROV that was displayed on our 145cm LCD TV, and could immediately think of at least a few situations where they could utilise the ROV. From surveying aquaculture facilities, inspecting diffusers in croc infested waters, internal pipeline inspections, and chlorine dosing tanks, the various Queensland regional councils had just about every scenario we had heard of.

Overall it was a fantastic event, and we look forward to attending next years Expo's in Bendigo, Canberra, as well as on the Gold Coast!
